Application Point: What do you rejoice in every day?
Following Jesus’s model for life and relying completely on him for righteousness lead to a life of joy. This joy exists regardless of one’s surroundings (4:11). Out of this type of life, focused completely on the good things of God (4:8–9), comes to a life in which one experiences a peace that doesn’t even make sense (4:7).
